Panch Pokhari is situated in Helambu/Langtang region and is recently opened as new trekking area. It is one of the real non tourist trekking destinations in Nepal. Himalayandreamteam offers the Panch Pokhari as a camping trek through, yet untouched traditional villages in stunning Himalayan views and beautiful landscapes. This trek offers panoramic mountains views, a rich Tamang culture and due to its nature, a genuine adventures exploration. The destination are the high altitude holy lakes that are sacred to Buddhists and Hindus. You will rewarded by close views of the Langtang Range, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling Himal and other snow-capped high peaks. First we drive by bus to Chautara, northeast of Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border. On day 9 of this pioneering trek we will reach the five lakes at Panch Pokhari, as the important pilgrimage of Hindu devotees which is known from the celebrations every year in August in memory of Lord Shiva. There are several villages of Tamang/Sherpa in this area that will provide an unique chance to observe Hindu & Buddhist culture. The unspoiled nature adds to a breathtaking experience. Back to basic, sleeping in tents, walk long hours and meanwhile enjoying life from within an ancient culture. A must for real explorers!
