Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before setting out on a tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
After breakfast, we take a scenic flight to Tumlingtar, a charming hill town east of the Arun River, offering stunning views of peaks like Makalu and Chamlang. From Tumlingtar, we drive to Kumal Gaon and begin our trek through lush forests and vibrant landscapes. Crossing the suspension bridge over the Arun River, we pass through Bheteni village and Chewa Besi, surrounded by terraced fields and traditional settlements. Following the riverbank trail, we arrive at Kartike, a serene village known for its natural beauty and honey production, marking the perfect end to the day.
After an early breakfast, we begin our trek towards Baluwa Besi, walking through open grasslands and crossing a suspension bridge over the Arun River. The trail gradually ascends through a beautiful Sal forest, offering a refreshing atmosphere. Along the way, we pass small settlements and terraced fields where locals grow rice and other crops.
We stop at Marduwa, a traditional Rai village, to experience the local culture and admire the scenic beauty of the surrounding hills. Continuing along the banks of the Irkhuwa River, the trail winds through more farmlands and quaint settlements. After a fulfilling day of walking and exploring, we arrive at Gothey, a peaceful village nestled amid nature, where we spend the night.
After breakfast, the journey continues through picturesque Rai and Sherpa villages, crossing suspension bridges over the Irkhuwa Khola. The trail winds through streams, lush bushes, and terraced fields. Along the way, we pass Dobane, Tendor, and Tallo Phedi, each offering a glimpse of local life and stunning scenery. The final stretch follows the south bank of the Irkhuwa Khola, leading to the serene village of Salpa Phedi, where we spend the night.
Today's trek involves a challenging ascent of nearly 900 meters. The trail passes through dense forests of oak, birch, and rhododendrons, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains. Though the climb is steep and demanding, the vibrant foliage and panoramic vistas make it a rewarding journey. We reach Gurase Bhanjyang, surrounded by pristine natural beauty, where we rest for the night.
After breakfast, we climb steadily to the Salpa La Pass (3,360m), the highest point of this trek. The pass provides spectacular views of the Makalu ranges and Chamlang, making it a highlight of the journey. After the ascent, we descend through enchanting rhododendron forests to Dhaka and continue trekking to the charming village of Sanam. Here, surrounded by tranquil mountain views, we stay overnight.
Today's trek takes us through a forested trail rich with rhododendrons, brown oaks, chir pines, and other native flora and fauna. The path features a mix of ascents and descents, adding variety to the journey. After crossing a steel suspension bridge over the Hinku River, we descend toward the Rai village of Bung. Known for its traditional farming techniques, Bung offers a glimpse into the cultivation of rice, millet, and soybeans on terraced fields. We stay overnight in this culturally rich and scenic village.
The trail today is a mix of steep descents and ascents, offering both challenge and beauty. We begin with a steep descent along the cliffside and pass through the settlement of Najindingma. Along the way, you’ll encounter chortens, monasteries, and serene yak grazing meadows surrounded by lush vegetation. The journey provides opportunities to immerse yourself in the tranquil landscapes and cultural landmarks of the region. We end the day at Gai Kharka, where we stay overnight in a peaceful mountain setting.
The trail today involves a series of ascents and descents across gorges, old moraines, and forests of rhododendron and juniper, running alongside the Hinku River. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of Mera Peak and glimpses of the Upper Khumbu region. A steep climb takes us to Panggom La Pass (3,174m), offering close-up views of Mera Peak, Kusum Kanguru, Kangtega, and other neighboring peaks. From the pass, we descend to the Sherpa village of Panggom (2,850m), where we spend the night, soaking in the local culture and breathtaking surroundings.
Leaving Panggom after breakfast, we trek through forests of oak, birch, bamboo, and rhododendron, passing ancient Mani walls and crossing the Kari La Pass (3,145m). The trail continues through ridges and hillsides, eventually leading to a wooden bridge over the Paiya Khola. Following a narrow, sometimes slippery path, we reach the settlement of Painya (2,830m). Today’s trek takes about 5-6 hours at a relaxed pace. The journey begins with a steep descent toward Surke, followed by a gradual ascent to Paiya La Pass (also known as Chutok La Pass) at 2,945m. Along the way, we pass through small settlements and alpine forests, enjoying the serene landscape. The trail eventually leads to Lukla (2,840m), where we spend our final night in the mountains, reflecting on the journey and celebrating our achievements.
After an early breakfast, we head to Tenzing-Hillary Airport for a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. The short flight offers dramatic views of the Himalayan range, providing a perfect farewell to the mountains. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, enjoy a complimentary spa to relax after your trek, followed by time to shop for souvenirs in the bustling streets of the valley. In the evening, join us for a special farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant, celebrating the completion of your incredible journey through the Arun Valley.
After breakfast or lunch, depending on your flight time, we will transfer you to the international airport or if you leave by evening you can put your luggage at the Hotel and enjoy the city one final day.
