You do not have to obtain a tourist visa for Nepal in your own country!

Much easier and common is to online apply for your tourist visa on the Government website

https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/

You can choose: Visa on arrival and fill in all details and upload a digital copy of your passport and passport sized picture. Copy/print the slip at the end and take it with you to show at Immigrations in the airport of Kathmandu. Your entry point (the first question) will be in most cases: Tribhuvan airport Nepal.

You only can fill in the form maximum 14 days before arriving in Nepal.

Once at immigrations in the main arrival hall, first pay for your visa at the counter:
