Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath is the holiest Hindu Temple of Nepal. The temple is situated at the banks of holy Bagmati River. The temple is two-storied Pagoda structure temple where millions of pilgrims come to pay reverence to Lord Shiva every year. In Hinduism, Lord shiva is the God of destruction and reconstruction.He is also the Lord of all animals. Along with the main temple, there are numerous temples of other gods and goddesses. Cremation(burning the dead body) openly is another major thing not to miss in Pashupatinath which takes place near to the holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath is also very special temple for hindus from all over the world, specially to Indians. Many Indian pilgrims who vist all other hindu temples also come to pay homeage to shiva at least once in lifetime. More than one million hindu people come together during shivaratri the main festival dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Boudhanath
Boudhanath is the largest Stupa of Nepal and second largest in the world. In Nepal approximately 10% of People are Buddhists and there are many sections in Buddhism.Boudhanath is related to Tibetan Buddhism and it is like replica of Tibet so here we see many Tibetan monks,souvenirs,monasteries.Although Nepal has more hindu people in comparision to buddhism but still we have good religious harmony among all religion. Mostly people from mountain region of Nepal are buddhist and boudhanth is one of the holiest site for them.

Swayambhunath
Swayambhunath is also another Buddhist Stupa which lies on the top of hill. It is more popular by another name Monkey Temple as you see so many monkeys on the way to stupa. This stupa is believed to be emerged by its own some 2000 years back.It is related to Vajrayana Section of Buddhism so it is more Kathmandu Buddhism. From the top of Hill, you enjoy the magnificent view of Kathmandu Valley and also some mountains. This stupa is more popular among Vajrayana Buddhist Newari people.

Kathmandu Durbar Square
Kathmandu Durbar Square is an ancient Royal Palace of Nepal.In the past, Nepal had many Kingdoms and within the Kathmandu Valley there were three Kingdoms (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktpaur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square). Kathmandu is the most famous and was used as a palace even by King from another dynasty after conquering all the Kingdoms and uniting Nepal.The premises of the palace have many temples and monuments of archaeological importance. We also see the temple of living goddess Kumari. It also has a very beautiful museum with some old collections and also the information about history of Nepal. Woodcarvings you see in all the old monuments, temples, and the palace are fascinating.
